A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.

Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

Process phases

At this stage, the Local Pact for economic reactivation was signed.

In this phase we want to collect the contributions of the citizens, and conclude with a day with people from vulnerable groups to collect their needs. The results of this phase will serve us to implement with the representatives the sectorial work tables in the next phase.

In this phase, the proposals included in the previous phase will be reviewed and worked on with the representatives of the entities, the City Council and the vulnerable groups. In addition, the second Summit of the Local Pact is planned to share the work of the tables. The result will be a first list of the measures of the Reactivation Plan to review them with everyone in the next phase.

In this phase, the proposals that have emerged from the Sectorial Tables will be posted on the Decidim website so that the citizens of Sitges can review and prioritize them. To close this phase, the Socio-Economic Reactivation Plan will be presented at the last Summit of the Local Pact, which will be open to everyone via streaming.
